Big wins for our gins at the SFWSC 2022
Big wins for our gins at the SFWSC 2022
The Tasting Alliance Competitions are considered extremely influential within the industry. According to Forbes magazine, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition is now the largest in the world. We are so proud that four of our member gins have been recognised and received big awards at this years' prestigious event.

The competitions have elevated the reputation of brands from around the world and represent the ultimate curator for the best international wine and spirits. 'Receiving a medal from the organisation is a critical next step for any producer to earn recognition in the industry.'

Gin is one of the most versatile categories of spirits there is, due largely in part to its fairly lax requirements. This leads it to be an exceptional base for cocktails, as producers take more and more free reign in the botanicals used and techniques employed.

Gothic Gin - DOUBLE GOLD
Gothic Gin
Gothic Gin
Starting with a kosher-certified, corn-based neutral spirit, Gothic’s botanicals are sourced through the San Francisco Herb Company, which looks for the highest quality and sustainably sourced ingredients. Gothic Gin follows London Dry methodology, which is just a single distillation with the grain steeped in the pot with its traditional ingredients. However, the vapour infusion with eucalyptus and Valencia orange peel means it’s classified as a contemporary gin. "Receiving a double gold is an extraordinary honour." - CEO and Founder, Chris Klug. Using the unique ingredients of local manuka-bush honey, island flora, organic Macedonian juniper and solar-powered, triple-filtered rain water. The gin is poured into beautifully crafted recycled glass bottles bearing the stippling of a kina shell (sea urchin).

“It’s an outstanding result for our off-grid boutique distillery, and we were the only gin from New Zealand to win a Double Gold this year." - Andi Ross, head distiller. From Great Barrier Island, NZ islandgin.com
