A cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar, and soda water. First memorialised in writing in 1876 by Jerry Thomas, “the father of American mixology“, this refreshing drink is typically served in a highball over ice.
INGREDIENTS
50mL Gin
25mL Lemon juice
25mL Sugar syrup
125mL Soda water
METHOD
1. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar syrup and Bobby's gin to a clean highball glass and stir.
2. Add plenty of ice and stir again.
3. Top with soda water and stir a final time.
4. Lemon twist, to garnish.
