What is Gin Liqueur?
What is Gin Liqueur?
There are two main differences between gin and gin liqueur, firstly the alcohol percentage. In Australia, a spirit must be bottled at a minimum of 38% ABV (alcohol by volume) to be classed as a gin and secondly, contain juniper. Gin liqueurs are considerably lighter (ABV around 20%) and are typically mixed with soda, versatile in cocktails and sipped on the rocks. Here are some of our favourite liqueurs available in Australia and cocktails to enjoy making at home.

Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur by Edinburgh Gin Edinburgh Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur
A sweet, fruity liqueur balanced by a delicate warmth and spicy finish. Fresh rhubarb is spiked with ginger and infused with Edinburgh's classic Gin. The rhubarb and spice are left to steep for four weeks, allowing for the complex flavours to marry together.
