The Martini Whisperer – aka Phillip Jones – shares his fail-safe recipe for a perfect Dry Martini.
INGREDIENTS
½ part dry vermouth
5 ½ parts gin
A few drops of orange bitters
METHOD
Add the ingredients to a chilled mixing glass full of ice and stir for about 42 seconds. Once very chilled, strain the mixture into a cold martini glass. Garnish with olives or a lemon twist.
Tip: You want your martini to be as cold as possible. Chill your mixer, glass and vermouth in the fridge. Pre-chill your gin in the freezer for an hour.
